Leadership

Kevin & his wife Chassidy have both grown up at Centerpointe. Prior to joining the full-time staff in 2004, Kevin worked as a Medical Sonographer in Rutherford County. Kevin has served in various ministry roles through the years and was elected Senior Pastor in 2014. Kevin also serves as a Sectional Presbyter for the Tennessee District UPCI. Kevin and Chassidy have three beautiful daughters, Kaylee, Avery, and Emery. Kevin loves outdoor sports, exercise, Thai food, motorcycles and coffee. Kevin also loves traveling with his family and spending time with his wife Chassidy.

Michael Spencer has served on the pastoral staff at Centerpointe since 2015. He currently serves as Operations Pastor, overseeing the campus buildings with grounds upkeep through proper maintenance, equipment repair and structures. This includes the safety and approval of the campus usage.  Along with campus operations, Michael also heads the Men’s ministry, teaches a Life Class, and assists in baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc. Michael has a degree in Electronics and is married to his lovely wife, Stacey. They moved to Murfreesboro in 2000 and their son Dylan was born in 2004.  They have a heart for serving and embrace the vision of Centerpointe to reach people where they are and show them Jesus every step of the way.

Wesley and Lindsey Stephens have served on the Centerpointe pastoral staff since 2013. Prior to being our Administrative Pastor, they served as the Youth Pastors at Centerpointe for 8 years. Wesley currently oversees the ministry departments that take place at our church. He is also responsible for our Next Steps program, which works to connect our new families to Centerpointe. In addition to serving at our church, Wesley also leads at the district level as the Tennessee Youth President. The Stephens have three kids, Hazel, Knox, and Finn. Outside of family and church, you can find Wesley drinking a cup of coffee, playing a round of golf, or traveling the globe with his family.

Jason serves as the Executive Pastor for Centerpointe. Jason & his wife, Beth  have been members of Centerpointe since moving to Murfreesboro in 1998.  Jason works at Caterpillar Financial Services. Jason has held multiple leadership roles in the IT arenas of systems administration, application development, and global project rollout.  As Executive Pastor of Centerpointe, Jason assists with budgetary planning and monthly financial tracking to ensure stewardship that promotes departmental growth, community outreach, and proper facilities maintenance.  Jason also serves as Chairman of the Centerpointe Board and has helped to coordinate multiple Capital Stewardship campaigns. In his spare time, Jason loves golfing, snow skiing, and bass fishing….(and of course long walks on the beach with his wife)!

Taylor joined Centerpointe as Youth Pastor in 2021 with his wife Mariah. Taylor is a Middle Tennessee native, while Mariah’s “home” is Central Louisiana. Taylor enjoys a nice premium Bible and a cup of coffee. Mariah loves taking their daughter ice skating! Together they enjoy raising the loves of their lives, Layla & Lincoln. Taylor and Mariah are passionate about connecting this generation of students to the plan and purpose of Jesus Christ. Youth ministry allows them to lead and disciple the church’s next generation to make an impact on their world today.

Hank  launched the Centerpointe New Salem campus in August 2020 with his wife Sydney. Prior to this, they spent over 16 years in student ministry  on the local and district level. Hank is an ordained minister with a passion for discipleship and Sydney is a talented elementary educator. Together they have four children, Harper, Harrison, Hadley, & Holman.  During his free time, Hank enjoys reading with a cup of coffee, spending time outdoors, Japanese food, and wrestling with the kids. Sydney is also an avid reader who loves caring for her plants and good Mexican food.
